Area Villa Azahar

TOWNS

Castellón de la Plana is a real Spanish city and consists of 2 parts: The city, with a beautiful old center, with cozy bars, restaurants, shopping streets and some museums that are free. There is much to see; The iconic Central Market of Castelló, the nearby Town Hall, a Baroque building dating from the 17th and 18th centuries, the Santa María la Mayor Church, also known as the Santa María Co-Cathedral. A 40-minute drive south is Valencia , a beautiful city for a day trip. View Catedral de Santa María (La Seu) in the historic center, stroll through Park Jardines de Turia, or visit the modern imposing Ciutat de les Arts i les Ciències .

NATURE

Villa Azahar is located between city and nature, with many beautiful walking routes in the immediate area . Take a short drive to Platja d'onda , soak in the hot springs in Montanejos or cruise Europe's longest underground river in vall d'uixó . Within 20 minutes of Villa Azahar you end up in a completely different world where there are virtually no tourists. It is a beautiful lonely highland with mountains, hills, valleys and rugged gorges, sometimes almost desert-like. The landscape is beautiful and there are beautiful panoramas everywhere. Eagles and vultures fly with you during your car trip and ibexes roam the steep rocks.

BEACHES

There are several beaches within 20 minutes. There is El Pinar. This beach is very beautiful, it is located north of the port of Castelló. It has a wide beach, with plenty of space. The coastal park is very green and has been kept as natural as possible. Gurugú beach is located next to El Pinar to the north. With fine sand and surrounded by a landscaped promenade, it is a semi-urban beach. Beach bars can be found here in the sand every year in the summer. Slightly further south is Platja de Ben-Afeli with a predominantly urban coastline. The environment of this beach is characterized by sand and gravel along the coast, creating a small bay. The beach is tidy with toilets, showers and rubbish bins. There are beach bars where you can enjoy a drink or a meal.
